Today I take Your armor,
putting every piece in it's place.
When I fail to put it on,
I am weak, and vulnerable,
and forget I am in a race.
When I find myself wounded,
weak and lying on the ground,
crying out for deliverance
from a foe that's stalking me.
I've let down my guard,
thinking I could make it on my own.
The fight is on,
the battle is real,
wounds do bleed,
and hearts do break.
Every day,
with the morning light,
I'll take up the armor,
every piece in place,
I'll raise the Sword
and continue to fight.
I won't let down my guard,
but continue in this race.
I won't let go,
I will not faint.
Forget what lies behind,
and press on for the prize.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
1Co 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
