Intoxicating Love

Your fragrance still lingers as I whisper Your name,
Your love is intoxicating, sweeter than worldly wine.
You leave me breathless and thirsting for more,
As the taste of Your kiss still sweet on my lips.

Oh I have tasted, and seen You are good,
Sitting in the Shadow of your delight,
Your Word, like water, refreshing my soul,
washing and cleansing and making me whole.

I find you behind and before,
as Your left hand caresses my neck,
and Your right hand embraces me
even through the dark night.

When shadows fall and try to hide,
In the Light of Your countenance,
Is where I abide.

Son 1:2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.
Son 1:3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.

I am my Beloved's and His desire is toward me~♥~

Now I'm Found

I once was lost,
but now I'm found.

When in darkness,
I tried to hide,
Covered in my leaves of shame.

You came searching,
calling out my name.
How could I respond,
carrying about my fear and pain.

Many had written me off,
a lost cause, a lamb
with no name.

I wore rejection
like a cloak,
the weight of sin
was crushing me.

In the pit of miry clay,
covered in bristles, briars and thorns,
I could not lift my eyes,
to see beyond the storm.

But there You were,
still smiling at me.
Through the eye of the storm,
You carried me.

You washed me off,
with the water of Your Word,
You called me your child,
and gave me a new name.

You clothed me in Your righteousness,
and hid me beneath the
shadow of Your wings.
In the cleft of the Rock,
You sang over me.

I once was lost,
but now I'm found,
and You've set my feet
on solid ground.

The Beauty of Your Love

The beauty of Your Love
is that no matter how lost I get,
You always find me and
I am never outside Your reach.

You extend Your mercies anew,
and any day is a good day
to begin again.

Even when it seems like nothing
is happening,
and not much has changed.
I know You are working in me,
making me what You want me to be.

I need more of You,
I want to know You,
and to be known by You.

Sometimes Mercy is Messy

Sometimes mercy is messy.

Sometimes we squander our
time and money to fulfill our lusts,
but can never quench the desire that
burns within our hearts for love,
for purpose, for destiny.

An inheritance received before it's due,
and squandered in the parlor of sin
and deceit.

Wallowing in the mud and eating
what's not even fit for the pigs.

Empty pockets and empty bottles,
but the worst of emptiness
lies within us.

Addictions and habits,
seeking fulfillment and satisfaction,
that continues to leave
void of hope.

Sometimes mercy leaves us
hanging at the end of our rope.

Stones in My Pocket

Stones in my pocket
from places I have been,
Each have a story to tell.

What history have they
witnessed far beyond my own?

Jacob laid his head upon a stone,
the night the heavens opened
and he wrestled with God.

Altars built with stones
to remind us
how far we've come.

Moses struck the stone
when he was told to only speak.

On the Rock, the church was built,
the revelation of Jesus Christ.

A rock was hewn and a stone was rolled,
as Jesus rose in resurrection life.

Jesus became the Cornerstone,
of the Temple not made with hands.

If we do not render praise to God,
the stones will find their voice.

Tablets of stone,
where laws were writ,
their voice was loud and clear.

Laws in stone could not be kept,
A Stony heart must find its flesh.

The stones in my pocket,
they have a story to tell,
they've witnessed history
far beyond my own.

If you listen closely,
the Ancient stones sing,
of the soon and coming King.

Emmaus Road

Emmaus Road

Promises now lay in a darkened tomb,
All hope seems to have taken wings and flown away.
Weariness, apprehension and fear,
onslaughts of the enemy try to weaken my grasp.

How long must I hold onto a remote dream,
when all that I loved it seems,
was just an illusion?

The city of peace now in chaos and riot,
expectations lying in dust, feeling
broken hearted, numb and empty.

Traveling down that dusty road,
questions assault my mind, and rip
at my heart.

My eyes were blinded by all the fears and doubts,
I could not see You there with me.
But then I remembered, and my heart began to burn.

To walk in the higher realm,
where eyes of faith do see,
I must look at what is unseen,
and keep my eyes on You.

My every step is ordered,
even on Emmaus Road.

If we are to burn,
we must take that road.
For it leads us once again,
to our first and only Love.

Armed and Running

Today I take Your armor,
putting every piece in it's place.
When I fail to put it on,
I am weak, and vulnerable,
and forget I am in a race.

When I find myself wounded,
weak and lying on the ground,
crying out for deliverance
from a foe that's stalking me.
I've let down my guard,
thinking I could make it on my own.

The fight is on,
the battle is real,
wounds do bleed,
and hearts do break.

Every day,
with the morning light,
I'll take up the armor,
every piece in place,
I'll raise the Sword
and continue to fight.

I won't let down my guard,
but continue in this race.
I won't let go,
I will not faint.
Forget what lies behind,
and press on for the prize.

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Eph 6:15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Eph 6:16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Eph 6:17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Eph 6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

1Co 9:24  Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Php 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Burning Hearts

Burning Hearts

My heart is burning for You  Lord,
burning, burning, burning,
I am desperate for You.

You touch me, and I want more.
I tremble before You in love,
in obsessive desperation.

You overwhelm me, overtake me,
totally consume me with Your Love.
I'm desperate, desperate, desperate.

My heart is a flame,
Ignite a fire through me Lord!
Fire, Fire, Fire.
A Fire that burns forever on the altar
of my heart.

Deep Groaning,
the River is moving,
inside me, a river of fire.
Your waves crash over me.

Oceans of Your Goodness,
waves of Your Glory,
flooding, flooding, flooding.

I surrender to Your
gentle takeover,
I surrender everything,
sweet surrender, burn, burn, burn!

I feel the heat, I feel the fire,
it's already begun,
it's time, it's time, it's time.

It's the time of the burning hearts,
Fan Your fire Lord,
You are our Obsession,
Only You, Only You, Only You!

Fire on the Altar,
Night and day,
We give You Praise!

Our hearts are burning Lord,
You set us afire!
We are burning for You,
nothing else will do.

We gotta have You!
We gotta have You!

Hear the Burning Hearts Lord,
We are crying for more Lord,
so desperate,
so hungry,
so thirsty,
Every drop leaves us longing for more!

Soul's Refrain

Soul's Refrain
~
I am so in love with You
My heart sings out Your Name
You come and sit with me
As I gaze upon Your face

You lift me higher
Into Your holy place
You make me see
Realms unseen
Enfolded in glory
You are my soul's refrain

Gentle whispers
Your song sweetly flows
Like gentle wind over me
Your Words like kisses
Your breath the fragrance of love

Breathe on me
Cover me with kisses
Your love rains over me
Your love reigns over me
My gentle Lover
My heart's Beloved
My soul's Refrain
