Life

Life
One day you are born
Another day you die
In between
Are the days of your life.
The life you live
Will be remembered
And not forgotten.
Have you ever wondered
And asked yourself why?
Why was I born?
What is my purpose?
The bible tells us that God knew us before we were born,
That he formed us in our mother’s womb, that we were
Fearfully and wonderfully made.
We were no mistake, God took nine months to form us, and the moment
Of our birth we received our very first kiss as God breathed
His life into us.
Our life is precious to God,
We were created to have an intimate relationship with Him,
From that very first kiss,
God breathed destiny into our spirit,
Our destiny
To live in intimacy with our creator.
Our purpose.
One day long ago God knelt down and formed the first man
Out of the dust of the earth, with all the life and love in His Spirit
He knelt over His creation and kissed him, and breathed
His life and His love into His masterpiece of creation.
In the beginning God walked with man
In intimate fellowship, but that fellowship and intimacy
Was broken by sin, but God had already made a way.
Before the foundation of the world,
The lamb of God was slain.
Jesus.
Jesus came to restore that fellowship, that intimacy, by becoming the sin that broke that intimacy.
The heartbeat of God is intimacy with His children.
He longs to be intimate with us,
That is the destiny and purpose that God breathed into us
The day of our birth.
In the garden of Eden man walked in intimacy with God, one day
God was walking in the garden, but man was hiding from Him, and with all the longing in the heartbeat of God, He said,
“Where are you?”
Can you hear the heartbreak of God in that question?
“Where are you?”
The way of intimacy has been restored, God sacrificed His only Son, because He loved us so much and longed to be intimate with us again.
“Where are you?”
“Why are you still hiding?”
The heartbeat of God is intimacy.
God didn’t ask Adam where he was because He didn’t know, He asked him because He wanted him to realize where he was,
And where he should have been.
God’s heart still cries out,
“Where are you?”
We don’t need to hide anymore, we can come boldly to the Throne of grace and fellowship intimately with our Creator.
Our lives begin with intimacy with our creator, our lives begin with a kiss,
And our lives end with a kiss,
How will we live the days in between?
Let Him kiss us with the kisses of His mouth, for His love is better than wine.
